Blender Quick Tip: How To Select Objects Simultaneously

Transcript:

Hello, everyone, what is up. My name Is Brennan today. I’m doing a tutorial on how to double select or multi select, basically selecting multiple objects at the same time. So let’s get right into it right away. Alright, so first of all. I’m going to add in an object. I’m probably going to add something like a cylinder lets. Go ahead and add that in, ooh! I’m gonna move it around a little bit. Let’s add in another object, and this is just a basic tutorial for a basic thing. Learning how to do something that not everybody knows how to do because especially if you’re first learning, if you’re first learning blender, you want to learn how to do this? Because, of course, is important you want to be able to select multiple objects? You don’t have to learn that to actually do like, say that. I was just working on one object. I can move each of these vertices around without having to select them at the same time. But if you want to actually do that so just texted me. Sorry about that again, so let’s go to. I’m going to turn on the screencast keys for you guys. So you can actually see what’s going on. I’m going to right, Click the right mouse button right there, right, mouse button, selecting the cube because the mouse was over the cube and I’m going to select this ICO sphere while holding down shift on the keyboard. I don’t know why I doesn’t show up in these screencast keys, but you have to select one first with the right button as it showed up right there. Then you hold down shift on the keyboard as I’m doing right here, we can see that. Oh, right there, holding down shift. I don’t know if you saw that, but you know where shift is you should know where shift is on your keyboard, so you just hold down shift. Then you right-click this another object. And then you can even right-click another one, but you always have to hold down shift when you want to select another object. If you want to add another one along, you have to hold down shift and when you select a new object while you have all these selected, you can tell. They’re selected by the highlight around them. You can see this. There’s there’s a difference between all three of these or these two and this one. Actually, there’s a difference because this one, these two have a different, orange, dark, a darker orange, a highlight around them and this one has a lighter orange around it and the reason it’s like that is because you actually selected that last, so whatever object you’ve selected last is the one that’s highlighted like that, so that is how you multi select double select objects so say you wanted to double select them to put them in a group. You could double select them or multi. Select and then press ctrl-g to make a group out of them. That’s one reason you might want to do that. You might want to join them together. You can press ctrl. J So yeah, that’s basically some reasons why you would want to multi select objects and that’s also just how did multi select objects so? I hope you enjoyed this tutorial if you did give it a thumbs up comment. If you have any questions if you want to request a tutorial. I will read your comment so I will see you guys next time. And one other channels do. I have bishops TV. RB Shep TV not be Shep’s TV. I think it’s peachy up TV. Yes, it is. It’s a bishop TV on that channel. I’ll be doing things like Vlogs, comedy type videos, other types of videos and another question. I have well not really. I didn’t really have another question. I mean, didn’t have one before this, but now I have a question. What do you think about my channel? Bishop, say what you think about it in the comments. And what I mean by that is well. What do you think more specifically, what you think about my channel having things like comedy videos on it and music and a mixture of things as opposed to just one subject like tutorials, Because I’ve always thought maybe it would be better. That’s why I separated my channels into things like bishop’s music Bishops gaming so that I’d have two separate things as opposed to everything on one whole channel. So what do you guys think about that? Say what you think in the comments below. I will see you guys on the next tutorial. See you later?
